Cheesy Mustard Dipping Sauce

Finally CHEESE!!

So i made homemade chips   , i wanted to try my new nutritional yeast  so i thought a simple cheese sauce for starters to try it out. So here it is...it was cheesy!! - a different kind to a normal cheese taste but it the sauce was gorgeous anyway.

Ingredients:
3 heaped Tsp Pure Spread
2 Heaped Tsp Sorghum Flour
200ml Hazelnut Milk
1 Tsp Dijon Mustard (I use waitrose own as it it free from dairy, egg..)
1 Tsp Turmeric
4 Heaped tsp Nutritional Yeast
1/2 Tsp Salt

Makes: A small portion so double or triple if you are making for more people

First add your pure to a pan and let it melt on a low  heat.

Then once it has melted add the flour and mix into a roux.

When you have your roux, slowly add your milk and make sure you stir it in first before adding a bit more, this way you will have a smooth sauce with no lumps.

If you do get lumps however just whisk your mixture until it is smooth.

If your mixture is too thick for you (as i like my sauces thick) add more milk to your sauce a little at a time like before.
add your turmeric and natural yeast flakes
and stir that into your sauce.

Sorry i haven't got a 'made' version photo, I must have forgotten in the rush to try it.

Here it is..it looks like mustard and fake processed cheese colour, but that is just because of the turmeric. You can leave it out if you don't like turmeric i add it for the health benefit.
I hope you enjoy it
