Cornmeal Porridge
Vegan, Gluten Free, Wheat Free, Yeast Free, Rice Free, Soya Free, Refined Sugar Free, Caffeine Free.
Endometriosis, Celiacs & Crohns Disease Safe
1 Person
Ingredients:
1oz cornmeal
1/2 Pint cold Water
Use cold water because hot water will cook the outside of cornmeal and you will end up with lumpy cornmeal before you even start.
Firstly put all of the cornmeal into your pan, add a 1/4 of the water and stir it all together until it blends together before heating, put it on a low heat and keep stirring when it becomes thick add some more water and keep stirring again repeat this process untill it has the consistancy of a thick soup, keep heating until bubbles appear in the mixture.
If you mixture seems lumpy then just take a whisk to it and it will be fine.
After you have added the porridge to your bowl you can add any number of different toppings, some of the ingredients i love to add are: hazelnut milk, mixed fruit, refined sugar, chopped dates.
You can add anything you wish.
This porridge is one of my safest foods to eat and causes me no problems at all when i eat it with just refined sugar and hazelnut milk, when i am going through pain i eat this and it is lovely so i do not mind at all.
Let me know how yours turns out and what different things you add to it,
Take a look at my other recipes
Thanks for looking
